My mission is to pass God's love onto His children by providing physical, mental, and spiritual care in a small group multi-age daycare setting.
Each week we will have two themes:
A Regular theme: I have a 2 year curriculum that covers holidays, seasons, and topics of interest to children. The majority of our projects will be planned around our regular theme. I plan our weekly activities using the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines which covers seven domains of learning and development. You may access these documents at http://www.education.ne.gov/oec/elg.html . Each day we have group time that includes calendar, weather, stories, and music.
A Bible theme: I use the same 2 year curriculum that I used at St. Mark's Preschool/KIDZONE. We read a Bible story each day at story time and do one project a week that ties in with the story. My goal is to teach the children the characters and plot line of the stories in the Bible. I believe it is the family's position to teach the children what the stories mean.
